We collect the following information:

  • Account information: Your email address and display name, provided during sign-up.
  • Profile information: Your timezone preference and plan tier.
  • Financial data: Income, expenses, account balances, cashflow allocations, affordability scenarios, and related records that you manually enter.
  • Goal data: Goals, schedules, occurrences, milestones, categories, and reflections that you manually enter.
  • Usage data: We track which features you use and how often to understand usage patterns and improve the product. This does not include the content of your data.

2. Why We Collect It

  • Account and profile data is necessary to provide you with a personalized, authenticated experience.
  • Financial and goal data is the core of the application — it is what you are here to track and manage.
  • Usage data helps us understand which features are valuable and where to focus improvements.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in a secure, hosted PostgreSQL database managed by Supabase. Access is controlled through Row Level Security (RLS), which ensures that your data is only accessible to your authenticated session. We do not share database access with third parties.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Period.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser cookies for session management (authentication) and local storage for theme preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics scripts.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data at any time through the application.
  • Correct your data by editing your entries.
  • Delete your data by removing individual records or by requesting full account deletion.

To request full account deletion, contact us through the application's support channels.

8. Bank Connections

Waypoint does not connect to any banks or financial institutions. All financial data is manually entered by you. We do not have access to your bank accounts, credit cards, or any external financial systems.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the version number and notify you within the application. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
